Biography

Elizabeth "Betsy" Ellis was born in 1814 in Jackson, Tennessee, her father, William, was 32, and her mother, Jane, was 17. She had four sons and three daughters with John G Carlisle between 1833 and 1868. She died in 1870 in Hardin, Illinois, at the age of 56.
