Daughter of Little Turtle of the Miami tribe. She married[1] about 1791[2] as his second wife the white Indian agent William Welles who had been captured as a young teen and raised by the Miami.

I will start a tree at some point, but right now, I'll just post the basics of what I know. It's just busy this time of year. I'd like to add a tree eventually, though. So what I know is Rebecca Wells married James Hackley and had a son, John Hackley. John Hackley's daughter, Emma Elizabeth, married Barnett Reed. They had a son, Oliver Hackley Reed. His daughter, Ellamae was my grandmother. She married Burt Coddington and had 3 daughters and a son, my father, Gerald. I also have 2 young sons, so Wanagapeth has a couple of great, great, great, great, great, great grandsons! I always knew my great grandfather was part Miami, but only recently learned about his ancestry. It's pretty amazing to learn all this history about Little Turtle and William Wells and Sweet Breeze. I had no idea!
JC, you could also start building out your tree, from yourself moving back in time: add profiles for your parents, then their parents, being sure to add sources as you go, working back generation by generation. The further back you go, the more likely you are going to run into profiles already being on WikiTree.
