Sergeant Daniel Vail served with 4th Regiment, Orange County Militia during the American Revolution.

Daniel Vail is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A116734.

Daniel Vail married Elizabeth Smith on 03 Jan 1764 in Goshen, Orange County, New York and their children included Dorothy and Miriam Vail.[1]

His wife was mentioned as Elizabeth "Veal" in the last Will of her father, Jeremiah Smith, along with two of their eldest children.

He enrolled in the 4th Regiment at Orange County, New York and served as a was Sgt. & Ensign with in Albany County, New York.[2]

In 1791 he moved his family from Goshen, Orange County, New York, USA to Elbridge, with Moses Carpenter.
