Biography
Samuel Marlin Vail was born in 1819. He is the son of Moses D. Vail and Mercy Pound. He married Susan Rose Pierce and they had 6 children: Mercy Pound, Georgiana Phoebe Marion, Jessie, Bertha May, and Mary Black.
After Susan passed, he married Harriet Gardner in 1842. Samuel and Harriet had at least 1 child: Jerry Hazard Vail. He passed away in 1898.
