Biography
Hiram is the son of Moses and Mary (Smalley) Vail. He married Rachel Barkalow, daughter of William Arthur Barkalow, on 23 or 25 Dec 1828 at Warren County, Ohio.[1] Hiram moved to Cincinnati about 1850 and lived with his sister Mary Fay and her husband Anthony.
