Biography

Thomas was a Friend (Quaker)

Born in Ireland in 1689 to George Valentine and Mary Cuppage. Quaker Thomas Valentine married Mary Parke in Ireland in 1715. When they emigrated to Pennsylvania they settled in New Providence and brought a certificate from the Carlow Friends Meeting in Ireland to the New Garden Meeting. That certificate dates their marriage to Nov. 22, 1715. [1][2]They had at least four children, Robert, Thomas, John, and Jonathan. Thomas passed away about 1747 in New Providence, Pennsylvania.[3]
