Hi, Royann,

I think we need to discuss Elizabeth Van Cleave who married Aaron Van Cleave son of Benjamin Van Cleave and Ruth Munson. Yesterday, I removed Van_Cleave-47 as husband of Aaron Van Cleave-56. You thanked me, and then added her right back. What?

All my research indicates that Aaron Van Cleave-56 married an Elizabeth Van Cleave daughter of John Van Cleave and Mary Shepherd, who was the brother of Aaron Van Cleave-46, who married Elizabeth (Griffin) Van Cleave (Griffin-717). I believe that we (again) need to remove Elizabeth Van Cleave-47 as husband of Aaron Van Cleave-56, and then, as Marc Griffin proposed, merge Van_Cleave-47 and Griffin-717, so that the merged person will be the husband of Van_Cleave-56.

Unless I hear from you some reason I should not, I am again going to remove Elizabeth Van Cleave-47 as wife of Aaron Van Cleave-56.

hi Steven, I'm sorry I didn't notice that Elizabeth VanCleave-47 had the wrong parents.

She married Aaron VanCleave-56, who was her first cousin. Her brother was Aaron VanCleave-46, who married Elizabeth Griffin-717. It gets complicated when cousins marry and with so many family members having the same names as each other. Sorry for my confusion. thanks, Royann

Thanks for getting back. I have added a new Elizabeth Van Cleave-499 as daughter of John VC and Mary Shepherd (strange that she wasn’t already in WikiTree. She’s mentioned as John and Mary’s daughter in accounts of the Long Run Massacre) and brother of Aaron Van Cleave-46. I will remove Elizabeth VanCleave-47 as spouse of -56, and then you can approve the merger of of -47 and -717.

Hi Royann,

I found this but am not sure how to share my link??? I have many generations back from Samantha Haskins Poston to share with you!!! Our last direct ancestor was Lincoln Haskins--the next newest generation must have been brothers, because my ancestor was Calvin Haskins (slightly older than David). I am not on ancestry, and I have yet to have my DNA done. Hopefully soon. Let me know if you can access my tree or how to get the info to you. "Cousin" Bonnie

Brookshaw-43 and Brookshaw-81 parents were merged. It now appears they are attributed to the same parents. It would be highly unusual for two brothers to have exactly the same names. While they may not represent the same individual, they are unlikely both children of their attributed parents. Perhaps you couId chase down the misattribution? It is possible they had parents with similar dob and dod with the same names, but there may have been some fuzzy genealogy going on. Thanks for intervening to keep it from getting worse.

Hi Royann, Welcome to Wikitree! I see you made some major changes to the data on Anna (Lyons-2599) McCollum, without giving a source for the change - I need a scholarly source (not a family tree) - do you have one? I hope so, because I like it when the profiles I manage are updated with a solid, scholarly source. Thanks.
Hi Royann,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified.

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many decendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the NEW_NETHERLAND Project.

Hi, I saw that you are a McCollum descendant. I am as well. I'm descended from the McCollums who were in Ohio; McHenry, Illinois; then Minnesota.
