- COPIED FROM CHANGES + (notes by Van_Duzen-9) There are numerous records relating to a "Hendrick Vandusen" and his offspring in the Salisbury vital records, which seem to match up with this Henrik Van Deusen. Some of the events in these records, however, may have occurred prior to Henrik moving to Salisbury, but are events that he or other members of his family wanted recorded after the fact.
Hendrick was married to a woman recorded in the Salisbury records as "Nelche," which is no doubt a bastardization of a Dutch name. (m 1730, Neeltje Rees).
Hendrick and Nelche had the following children recorded in the Salisbury records:

There are two Henry VanDeusens born in the Albany, New York area about the same time, one in 1702 and the other in 1707. The first marries Eleanor Ploeg and the second marries Neeltje Rees. And they both seem to have the same parents, though this is not certain. In time perhaps this can be sorted out and verified.
