Research Notes
Back in the 1970s, my grandmother told me her great-grandmother's name was Ellen. Then, in 2010, I found a census record for William and Ellen Jamison. Listed on that report was Jane McKinney, mother-in-law. So, I went to trusty old Rootsweb to see what else I could find out about her. And, in less than five minutes, I found her maiden name, her husband's first name, and had traced our line all the way back to Deventer, Holland in 1550. -- Carrie Quackenbush, 2017.

Jacobus Jansen VanDeventer married Femmetje Barents Ridder circa 1687 at New Utrecht, Kings County, New York. Jacobus Jansen VanDeventer died in 1692.
