I believe you have the wrong date for Carel. His brother Hendrick was baptized on that date in New Amsterdam.

Translated by Ted Brassard, New Amsterdam/New York Reformed Dutch Church Baptisms, 1653, 2 Jul; Jan Thomaszen, Tryntie Agis; Hendrick; Marritie Dircks.

I show Carel baptized on 22 September 1648 at the Old Church, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands. Harry Macy, Jr., "Amsterdam Records of the Jan Thomaszen Van Dyck Family" NY & GB, Vol. 12y 974.7 bxn v.126 FHL, P. 239.
