Research Notes
Profile Van Etten-351 gave her birthplace as Katsbaan. This could be correct, but no source was cited and there is no indication that her birth family lived at Katsbaan.

Van Etten-351 and Van Etten-415 are not ready to be merged because: Same name, born the same day. However, I don't believe that a woman born in 1729 married a man who was born in 1755, so I have a strong hunch that there is some confusion or conflation affecting the Van_Etten-351 profile.
Van Etten-415 and Van Etten-351 do not represent the same person because: Yes, the two profiles have the same birth date, but I think that they represent two different people.
One person is the girl who was born on that date and whose parents are identified on the profile. There is no information on that profile about her subsequent life.
The other person is the girl who grew up to marry Wilhelmus Rowe, who was born decades later than the birth date shown for Catrina. I don't think that birth date is correct for the wife of Wilhelmus Rowe.
More research is needed to eliminate the conflation.
Wilhelmus is the husband of Catharina Van Etten (1756--1832) daughter of Johannes Jacobus Van Etten and Jacomynte Newkirk.
Yes. He married a woman with the same name as his mother.
But right now he is attached to the wrong wife: Maria van Etten (bef.1734-abt.1800) and I would unattach her but she is project protected by the new netherlands group and maybe this falls under the catagory of controversal. Marie has two husbands attached to her right now and this William needs to be unattached.
This family is confusing because of multiple William Rau/Rowe/Rou and Catharine Van Etten relationships.
I will do my best in helping to sort out the confusion by finding and adding sources.
I can't tell you why they were rejected, but I don't think that the woman born in 1729 married a man born in 1755. (Probably an error in Van_Etten-351.)
Removed husband Wilhelmus (Rowe) Rouw (bef.1755-). No sources found.
She is the wife of Frederich Rau (abt.1726-).They had a son Wilhemus (Rau) Rouw (bef.1755-1803).
Removed DOD of 19 Jun 1803. This is the death date of Wilhemus (Rau) Rouw (bef.1755-1803)
