"In Jan 2004, Bill Bogardus wrote: “Hester Van Deursen did not marry Arie Van Schaick. I know there are many accounts of her apparent union with Arie Van Schaick (which I also included in my 1996 "Dear Cousin" book) but while working on "Dear Cousin II", I found conclusive evidence that she did not marry at all - but died a spinster on 12Aug 1807.”

Also Note: The record below claiming that this Aaron Van Schaik was baptized at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York on 1 Jan 1712 IS NOT CORRECT, nor is there any other baptismal record for this person in those records.[1]
