Marriage

She married Gerrit Jacobse Lansing in 1745.[3]At that time she was the widow of Mr. Coster.[4]

Her will reads: In the name of God, Amen, I Elizabeth Lansing late of the City of Albany in the State of New York, widow, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory (blessed be God) do this twenty-sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say Imprismis, I commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me and my Body to the earth from whence it came in hopes of a joyful resurrection through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ. As for my burial, I desire that it may be decent at the direction of my executor hereafter named and as that Worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me after payments of my debts and funeral expenses by my Executrix, I give devise, and dispose thereof as followeth: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Son Garret Lansing the sum of ten Schillings current money of the State of New York to be raised and levied out of my personal Estate wherewith I do exclude and bar him from any other or further claim as being my eldest or further claim as being my eldest Son and heir at Law. I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Armantia all and singular my Real Estate, my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever to her, her heirs and assigns forever. Item I give devise, and bequeath unto my two daughters Armantia and Helenah all and singular my Personal estate whatsoever and wherever to be equally divided for them, their heirs, and assigns forever. Lastly, I do by these presents nominate, constitue and appoint my beloved daughter Armantia Lansing Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills and Testaments heretofore by one made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
