Biography
Doris Van Winkle, daughter of Cassius Van Winkle and Laura Kelly, was born in Kentucky in 1912. She was the only daughter and the middle child between Ivan and Raymond. (Her brother, Earl, had been born in 1911 but only lived a few weeks.) Doris' father was a clergyman who lived wherever his profession called him. In 1920, her father was a pastor in Berea, Kentucky. In 1930, the family was in Vanceburg.
Doris was the wife of William T. Finn and the mother of Alice and Timothy.
