Biography
Robert was born in 1912. Robert Vance. At the time of the 1920 U.S. Census, he lived with his parents and brother, Kenneth, in Newton, MS.[1] In 1930, he was listed as an unpaid farm laborer working for his family. Robert was attending school at the time and was able to read and write.[2] He lived on a farm in Newton, Mississippi in 1940 with his wife and two sons. They rented their home and had been there since at least 1935. His reported was income was $600.[3] He passed away in 1959 and is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Hazel, Mississippi.[4] [5]
