Biography
DOROTHY MAXINE KETNER, 75, of Vernon, Mich., formerly of Continental, died at 12:50 p.m. Oct. 29, 2005, at Ingham Medical Center, Lansing, Mich.
She was born March 25, 1930, in Leipsic to Charles Lester and Anna Miller VanDemark, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1952, she married George H. Ketner, who survives in Vernon, Mich.
Mrs. Ketner was a homemaker. She was a 1948 graduate of Continental-Palmer School.
Survivors also include two sons, seven grandchildren, two brothers, Don VanDemark and Dan (Beulah) VanDemark, both of Continental; three sisters-in-law, Norma VanDemark of Van Wert, Norma VanDemark of Bellevue and Marcella Ketner of South Whitley, Ind.; and a brother-in-law, Hank Wiseman of Defiance.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Philip, Charles, Paul and Bill VanDemark; and two sisters, Almeda Schafer and Jean Wiseman.
Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental. The Rev. Greg Wack will officiate. [1] (Note: Names of living persons removed for privacy reasons.)
