Biography

George Washington Vandeventer was born in Feb 1836 in Tennessee, USA, son of Abraham B Vandeventer and Rebecca (Morton) Vandeventer.

In the 1850 census George (age 12) was in Davis, Iowa, United States.^[1]

In the 1860 census Geo (age 22) was in Unionville, Udell Township, Appanoose, Iowa, United States.^[2]

When George was 25 he married Mary Kent on 24 March 1861 in Appanoose, Iowa, USA. The couple had 4 children: Abraham Vandeventer, Jacob Vandeventer, Claristo A. Vandeverter and Jones H. Vandeverter.^[3][4][5]

In the 1870 census George (age 34) was living in Union, Appanoose, Iowa, USA. Age: 31^[6]

George Washington died on 10 Jun 1887 in Sullivan, Missouri, United States aged ~51. He is buried in Judson Cemetery, Harris, Missouri.^[8]
