Biography

From what I have heard of him, he worked hard and took care of everyone. He gave his two daughters each a house in their own names and had his father-in-law living with them in his older years.

Jefferson Elementary School, Stockton, San Joaquin, California. From 1891 Stockton City Directory.

It states the schools seating capacity is 275, and gives the names of the principal and three teachers. Also stated is my great-grandfather, George Vandewater, Janitor.
