Biography

Magdalena Vanderveer was born about November 5, 1718 in Colony of Delaware, daughter of Jacob Corneliusson Vanderveer (~1682–<1733) and Maria Adamsdotter Stedham (~1693–>1764).

Magdalena (16) married Jonathan Stilley (25) (born in 1709 in Christiana Hundred, New Castle Co., Colony of Delaware; son of Jacob Andersson (Stille) Stilley and Rebecca Carlsdotter (Springer) Stille) on April 17, 1735 in Holy Trinity "Old Swedes" Church, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.[1] Their children were:

  2. Anna Maria Stilley (1737–1764)[3]
  3. Magdalena Stille (~1738– )
  4. Jacob Stilley (1739–1777)[4]
  5. Johnn Stilley (~1740– )

Magdalena died about April 21, 1765 in New Castle Co., Colony of Delaware, aged 46. She was buried in Old Swedes Churchyard, Wilmington.[8]

Vandever-3 and Vanderveer-29 appear to represent the same person because: Spelling difference is minor to me. Feel free to claim whichever spelling, but I believe these are the same person.
