CORRECT PARAGRAPH: Page 63 of The Vanover Book by Gregory Lynn Vanover He was married twice. His first wife's name has not been determined. They were married in 1778. His second wife was Abigail Mattox who he married in New Jersey and is dated 20 January 1778 (Document Number XV). This family migrated south in the early 1780, living first in Virginia and then moving into North Carolina.

There is no evidence of the 1st wife being Elizabeth Williams. The source given at FindAGrave lists The Vanover Book which states the 1st wife is "undetermined". IF anyone can provide evidence, we can change this.
