The linked father, WILLIAM VAUGHAN, wrote his last Will and Testament in 1692; therefore, a William Vaughan born in 1760 could not be his child. There is already a son WILLIAM VAUGHAN, Jr. with a credible birth date of 1652.
WILLIAM VAUGHAN of Charles City County, Virginia who was the son of WILLIAM VAUGHAN of the same place would have been at least age 21 in 1692 when WILLIAM VAUGHAN wrote his Last Will and Testament on 24 March 1692. WILLIAM left a legacy to his son, WILLIAM. The will read:
William Vaughan also named the following grandchildren by his son William Vaughan in his will: William Vaughan, Mary Vaughan, Julia Vaughan & Elisabeth Vaughan. The will suggests that WILLIAM would have been over the age of 21 in 1692 given that it stated, " adjoyning to the plantation they are seated on." A stipulation was not made in the will stating when they reach the age of 21.
