Sarah E. “Sallie” Vaught was born September 16, 1887 in Caddo Gap, Montgomery County, Arkansas, the daughter of Silas Perron Vaught and (Elizabeth) Jane née Petty Ellington.
In 1905, she married Charles “Charlie” West (1885-1962), and they had two known children. Sallie died October 5, 1972 and was buried beside Charlie at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Norman, Montgomery County, Arkansas.
