A book was written in which the murder of James Franklin Vaught was included--'A History of Eastern Oklahoma' by James Hall. The sad part is the way Judge Parker and his henchmen ran over/hung the Indians of eastern Oklahoma and got away with it.

My great uncle. Was shot in cold blood by Jim cole. Deputy of "hanging judge Parker" was convicted of murder but was released from jail after appx. 7 mo.judge Parker released him because he said he was needed as a deputy!! This all took place in Indian territory (okla) about 1890. He got away with murder!!!
