She married Lorenzo Selby in 1860 in Ohio. [2][3] They had 7 children: Henry Ira, Etta Mary, Clera, Frank E, Delia Alice, Electa A, and Dwight.
She passed away 24 Feb 1876 in Decatur, Van Buren, Michigan and was buried in Hamilton Cemetery. [4] There is a death record that shows her death on 25 March 1876 at age 33 in Hamilton, Van Buren County, Michigan. [5][6]
Jane has records under Jane Veon, Jane Deon, June Ceon. Most seem to be a misreading of handwriting.
1850 US Census shows Jane (8) living in Paris, Portage, Ohio with her parents and siblings. Henry (34 - born in Pennsylvania), Elizabeth (30 - Born in Wales, England), Harriet (10 - Ohio), Esther (4 - Ohio), William (1 - Ohio). It shows Henry's occupation as farmer. [7]
1870 US Census shows Jane (27) living in Hamilton, Van Buren, Michigan with her husband, Lorenzo J (30) and children - Henry J (9), Marietta (7), Clara J (4), Frank E (2). They are living with Lorenzo's parents - Philo (60) and Catherine (56). It shows Lorenzo and Philo as farmers. [8]
