Kort na hul huwelik in 1677 gaan boer Hendrik en Beatrix op Clara Anna Fonetein. Daar word vertel dat die plaas na twee dogters vernoem is op die geskiedenis blad Clara Anna Fonetein van die plaas, maar daar was nooit enige bewyse gevind dar daar 2 dogters met die name Clara en Anna vir die gesin gebore nie. Daar was wel 'n kleinkind met die name Clara Anna Sien Clara Anna Jansz Na Hendrik se dood word die plaas "Clara Anna Fontein", aan Beatrix Verwei toegeken. [7]

In hul geskiedenis van die Waverenvallei verwys Böeseken & Cairns The redoubtable Beatrix Verwey, widow of Hendrik Olivier after Jan Haermse Potgieter the first recorded person to have been granted grazing reghts in the region, Because of her extensive agricultural activities throughout the Cape district, particular in the Tygerberg area, she was called "Landbouweresse" woman farmer Die kaart van Kaapse plase wat volgens Koeman uit die besoek van Kommissaris Simons in 1708 ontstaan het, Dui Beatrix aan as besitter van plase by Tygerberg en in die Swartland en De La Fontaine se Opname in 1731 beskryf hy haar as ëen vrou die geld heeft, terwyl Dr Böeseken noem dat sy 'n sierlike hantekkening het. Hy noem ook dat moeder en dogter Trijntje en boerin en die landbouweresse en burgerresse Beatrix Verwey van die eerste vroue aan die Kaap was wat selfstandig geboer het 'n treffende voorbeeld van die onafhanklike en slagvaardige Nederlandse vrou van die sewentiende eeu [8]
In the early period. (skryf Guelke en Shell) in hul oorsig van die Kaapse Landed gentry"wealthy freehold farmers were largely responsible for opening up the frontier. Beatrix Verweij, a widow and the owner of two freehold farms near Cape Town, was one of the first to apply for such a grazing permit [in de duine agter de grawwe heuvels][9]
Sy was 'n voorbeeld van vroeë vroueboere wat in 1677 , toe sy sowat 19 was, getroud is met die Nederlander Hendrik Corneliz Olivier, hulle was die stamouers van een van die takke van die Olivier familie in Suid Afrika. Met Olivier se dood in 1701 is sy agtergelaat met onmondige kinders, 'n stuk grond aan die Liesbeekrivier waarop hulle gewoon het, n plaas in die Tygerberg, 182 stuks vee, 1000 skape, 4 perde, 5 slawe en 10 mud koring, in hierdie volgorde genoem, sy het skynbaar 'n tyd lank met haar moeder saamgeboer op Clara Anna Fontein in die Tygerberg, (toegestaan in 1702 aan Beatrix volgens Palmkronieke 1) en op ondernemende wyse, want De Wet noem dat haar naam gereeeld voorkom in weilisensies wat tussen 1703 en 1707 uitgereik is.
