Biography
" ROLAND5 VICK (John4-3-2, Joseph1) was born about 1783 in Greensville County, Virginia. He died before 9 December 1822 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. While Roland, whose name is sometimes spelled Rowland, was apparently born in Virginia, he had moved to Montgomery County, Tennessee by 1808, when he appears in a list of jurors in that county." [1]
In the War of 1812, he served as a private in the First Regiment of Tennessee Volunteers, Pipkin's West Tennessee Militia. [2]
