DNA matches

Williams,Trinder and Vincent families (260 cMs)

An Ancestry DNA test match has been done which confirms the link between Mollie (Williams) Pickup and her second cousin once removed. Predicted relationship from AncestryDNA 2nd Cousin once removed, based on sharing 260 cM across 12 segments, longest segment 58 cM. One of their most recent common ancestors are her great grandfather John Prue Williams (abt.1842-1928) and Matilda Alice (Grimmett) Williams (1844-1923). However, as these two children of Matilda Alice (Grimmett) Williams (1844-1923) married two sibings in the Vincent family, the DNA is equally likely to be descended from Thomas Iphedeiah Vincent (1840-1890) and Selina Watson (Martin) Vincent (1831-1920).

Therefore the DNA test can only be used to confirm some of the relationships. The DNA test confirms the relationship between
Mollie (Williams) Pickup to her father Edward Septimus Williams (1902-1986).
It does not confirm the relationship to his father John Samuel James Williams (1865-1958)
and it does not confirm the relationship to his parents John Prue Williams (abt.1842-1928) and Matilda Alice (Grimmett) Williams (1844-1923)

The tests also confirms the relationship between
Anthea (Howell) Badham to Berenice Frances (Trinder) Howell (1920-2012)
and to her mother Lois Hannah Emily (Vincent) Trinder (1899-1975)
It does not confirm the relationship to her mother Matilda Mary (Williams) Vincent (1867-1952)
and it does not confirm the relationship to her parents John Prue Williams (abt.1842-1928) and Matilda Alice (Grimmett) Williams (1844-1923).[14]
