Biography

Arthur Cyril Vincent was born to Arthur Alfred Vincent and Jane Fray Bridges in Christchurch. [1] At the time of his birth, his family were residing in High Street, St Albans. [2]

He served in World War 1. [3]. He was listed in the Sun under casualties on 14 July 1917.[4]

Arthur married Rata Mary Stanton in 1919.[5]

Arthur Cyril passed away in 1985 in Ashburton, New Zealand.[6]. He was buried in Ashburton Cemetery. [7]

The above link offers information pertaining to Arthur's enlistment and duty in WW1, as well as deployments overseas, at home and medical reports during his time in the Army.

Research Note

In the birth record, Arthur's mother's middle name is noted May. It should be Fray. It appears she was the victim of a few errors in various records between her son's life and her husband's.
