Alfred was born on the 12th October 1870 in Islington, Middlesex, the son of Thomas Iphedeiah Vincent and Selina Watson (Martin) Vincent.[1][2][3]
1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Alfred was living at 21 Grovedale Road, Islington, Middlesex with his parents Thomas and Selina and his siblings Emily, Jessie, Robert and Stephen.[4][5]
1881 Census on the 3rd April 1881 Alfred was living at 21 Grovedale Road, Islington, Middlesex, with his parents Thomas and Selina and his siblings Jessie, Robert, Stephen and Hannah.[6]
1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 Alfred a warehouseman, was living in Russell Road, Islington, Middlesex with his widowed mother Selina and his siblings Stephen, John and Hannah.[7]
Alfred married Alice Ellen Clarke and the marriage was registered in the 3rd quarter 1892 in Pancras, Middlesex.[8]
1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Alfred a warehouseman (ostrich feathers), was living at 29 Lincoln's Inn Fields, St Giles In The Fields and St George Bloomsbury, London, England, with his wife Alice and their sons Arthur and Thomas.[9]
Alfred performed with the Hannah Vincent Operatic Society, organised by his sister Hannan Vincent.
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Alfred a warehouseman, was living in Hornsey, Middlesex with his wife Alice, and their son Thomas. Alfred was employed as a merchant's warehouseman sorter worker dealing with raw ostrich feathers.[10]
