Biography

Marie-Madeleine Vincent, daughter of Pierre & Marie Granger, was born about 1725 in the parish of L'Assomption in Acadie. [1] [2]

Marie (28) married Alexandre Boudreaux (30) (born in Cacagouet, Pisiguit, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia) in 1754 in Pisiguit.

Their known son was Jean Baptiste Boudrot (about 1754 – about Jul 12 1832).

Marie (30) married Joseph Breau (36) (born in Acadie, Nouvelle France) in 1756 in Bristol, England. [3][4] [5][6]

Their known children were:

  1. Samuel BREAU b: Sep 1757 in Bristol
  2. Marie BREAU b: Abt 1759 in Bristol
  3. Joseph Braud (about Feb 28 1761 – Mar 8 1813).

She was on the census taken in 1763 at Southampton, Hampshire, England [7] As a widow with her sons Jean-Baptiste Boudrot and Joseph Braud, she disembarked at St. Malo from England on 23 May 1763 from the ship "La Dorothee." [8]

Marie (38) married Pierre Dugas (54) (born in Cobeguit, Acadie, Nouvelle-France) on Jan 9, 1764 in Saint-Servan, Bretagne, France. [9] They resided at St. Suliac from 1763-1772. [10][11] [12]. She was on a list made on 7 Dec 1775 at Chattelerault, France with her 15 year-old son Joséph Braude.[13]

In September 1784 in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France, she was on a list of families who want to emigrate to Louisiana at the expense of the Spanish Catholic Majesty. She is a 59 year-old widow with a son. Another son is also on the list. [14]

Marie-Magdeleine died in Loire-Atlantique in January 1785 before she was able to emigrate to Louisiana. She was buried 22 Jan 1785 at Chantenay, Loire-Atlantique. [15] [16][17]
