Paul Orville Vogt, son[1][2][3] of Christian Vogt and Lydia Funke, was born on 10 June 1898, New Bremen, German Township, Auglaize Co., Ohio.[2][4][1][5]
Paul and Clara had one child: Richard Paul Vogt.[6]
Paul Orville Vogt registered for the draft on 16 February 1942. He described himself as 6' tall, weighing 198 lbs., and having blue eyes, brown hair, and a light complexion. At the time he was living at 1650 Fairhill Road, Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana with his wife, Mrs. Clara E. Vogt. Paul was working for the General Electric Company, 1635 Broadway, Fort Wayne.[4]
The photo of the joint grave marker for Paul O. and Clara E. Vogt only shows the years of birth and years of death for either of them. The text in the memorial page for Paul (no source given) has a date of birth of 10 May 1898 and date of death of 29 November 1982, which are different from the dates in the other records.
