Berthold I Von Breisgau was a member of the aristocracy in Europe.

Biography

Berthold I called Bezzelin was most likely the first count of House Zähringen and until his death Graf im Breisgau (Count in the Breisgau). It has been suggested that the family may have descended from the Alaholfinger family.[1] Berthold was a supporter of Otto II and it is suggested that he participated on his side in the Battle of Stilo or Cape Colonna near Cotrone where he found his death 13 Jul 982.
