[Mary Sophia] Charlotte Kielmansegge (b. 23 Sep 1703 Hanover – d. 13 Jun 1782) , changed her name after marriage to Emanuel Scrope Howe, 2nd Viscount Howe, in 1719. She was born Sophia Charlotte Mary von Kielmansegg.[1] Her mother Charlotte Sophia, Countess of Darlington (1675–1725), wife of Johann Adolph, Baron von Kielmansegg,[2] was the half-sister George I of Great Britain, (reigned 1714 - 26).[3][4]
Viscount and Viscountess Howe are said to have ten (10) children, including:
Brig-Gen. George Augustus Howe, 3rd Viscount Howe (b. c. 1724 - d. 06 Jul 1758 Fort Ticonderoga, New York).[4][5]
Adm. Richard Howe, Earl Howe (b. 19 Mar 1725/6 - dspm. 05 Aug 1799).[4][6]
Sir William Howe, 5th Viscount Howe, Commander-in-Chief of British land forces in the Colonies during the American Revolution. (b. 10 Aug 1729 England - dsp. 12 Jul 1814, bur. Twickenham).[4][7]
