Biography

Bezelin von Villingen is listed in Wibald von Stablo's Tabula consanguinitatis as the son of Bertha von Büren.[1] He was Graf im Breisgau and after 991 also Graf im Thurgau.[2][3] He was married most likely to a Liutgard who may have been from the Nellenburg family[4] or a daughter of Lanzelin von Altenberg.[2][3] He died in 1024.[5]

"Villengen" is a typo at best, the town is called Villingen and in the original document he is called Bezelinu[s] de Vilingen. LNAB should probably be Breisgau.
