Andries Vos was the son of Klaas Vos and Hendrika Leenmans[1]

Andries Vos was born in Klaaswaal, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He arrived in the United States in 1856 with his father, stepmother, and their son, Adam. He was married 15 Nov 1864 in Mahaska County, Iowa to Woutje Korver. About 1874, they moved to Almyra, Arkansas where he was a cattle dealer and farmer. After retirement, he returned to Pella, Iowa.
