Minnie (Mary) Wade was born on November 9, 1853, [1]in York, New Brunswick, Canada, her father, James, was 38, and her mother, Eleanor, was 32. She married Alexander Tait on November 7, 1873, [2]in Penniac. They had four children during their marriage. She died on October 7, 1940, in Marysville, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 86[3][4]

Note: Birth Date: November 9th, 1856 on Minnie's Death Certificate as input by son Arthur. In 1861 Census, done in January 1861, Minnie was noted as 8 years old as of her next birthday, therefore birth year would be 1853. In the 1911 Census, shown as living with sister Phoebe Finnamore (her husband Richard H. Finnamore) and her daughter Annie - name showns as "Mary" Tait. "Mary" Wade appears in the 1851 Census as 6 years old: daughter of John and Mary Wade with brothers Thomas, William and Marshall plus sister Margaret. This means her birth date is around 1855. Marriage in 1873 to Alexander appears in the Saint John newspaper.
