A cool fact to share, your ancestor (I think) Sgt Benjamin Waite is my 9th great-granduncle :)

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the 1776 Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now.

If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here

Many thanks,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi Rosalind,

It's time for a 1776 Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know if you want to continue as a member of the project. We'd like to know:

  • If you are on the right team or if you'd like to make a change. It's a requirement that every 1776 Project member is a part of one of the project's teams, so if you're not assigned to a team, let us know which team you'd like to join.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what changes you'd like to see us make?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the 1776 Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back.

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Betty - 1776 Project Leader

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Rosalind,

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to their ancestors. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Rosalind,

On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project Leaders, I am doing a check-in with members to see if you were Active in US Southern Colonies in the last two months?

Have you joined the subproject, Southern_Pioneers Project?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Rosalind,

I've sent you a trusted list request for Thomas Wilson. Would you please add me to his trusted list so I can keep informed of updates to his profile?

Thank you, Sharon

Undoubtedly you know that we are both distantly related to KIng Richard III of England [York-1245], You are his 13th great grand niece and I am his first cousin 18 times removed.

Cheers, Mike Bissell [Bissell-517]

Ros-- The plot thickens all of a sudden. Our MRCA is Hannah Butler, wife of Epraigm Dunham Sr, so now I really would like to see if Waite genes line up with mine at all. But your GEDCOM number above is invalid. What's up? This could be very interesting due to the FTNDA Dunham Project's groupings.

It IS a small world after all, because I believe we are 5th cousins once removed via the Benefiel line (MRCA= Robert Benefield 1740-1829) and are 8th cousins two different ways:

via the Waite line (MRCA= Benjamin Waite 1645-1704) and via the Houghton line (MRCA= John Houghton III 1634-1684). Cheers, Mike Bissell [Bissell-517]

I see that you have an interest in DNA study and have taken a DNA test. Would you be interested in starting a One Name Study for either your surname or another name you are researching? The purpose of the One Name Study is to coordinate any WikiTreers who are researching one particular surname and to provide a resource for collaboration.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study

For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions.
