Ann was baptised on 18 October 1829 by parents James and Mary. They lived on Ruardean Hill and James was a Collier. [1]
Ann's parents had both died by 1838 and in 1841 she was living in the household of her older brother Cornelius. [2]
In 1849 Ann married Thomas Jones. The marriage was registered in Abergavenny, Wales. [3]
In 1851 Thomas and Ann were living with 4 month old baby Abraham in Tredegar. Thomas was a labourer. [4]
In 1871 Ann travelled to the USA with Thomas and children Alfred, Mary A, David and Ann, aged 1. [5] Her sister Emma had moved to Utah about 6 years earlier with her family.
In 1900 Thomas and Ann were in their 70's and had been married 51 years. They were living in Hunter, Salt Lake, Utah. They'd had 10 children but only 3 were still living. Thomas was a Farmer and they owned their farm. [6]
Ann died aged 80 on 8th February 1910 in Hunter, Salt Lake, Utah. She was a Widow. [7] Ann is buried in Salt Lake City Cemetary [8]
