Biography
Sarah was the daughter of William Henry Walker and Jane Herriot.
At age 22 she married John Tisdall in Dunedin at the Knox Church. She had 3 children born in her marriage, one of which, Ethel Dowling Tisdall, died at 23.
Sarah settled in Middlemarch with John who for a time worked as a farm labourer and later farmed for himself.
Sarah died age 89 and is buried at Oamaru Old and New cemetery.
