Biography

Mary Annie Walker was born 1876 in Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia to John and Johanna Walker. Her Father was a Ship Builder. On December 22, 1896 in Chester by Baptist Lisence, Mary Walker married Widower Cottnam Smith a Blacksmith from Chester. The Reverend A.H.C. Morse officiated at the ceremony. Witnesses included Lyman N. Denton and Pearl B. Smith. "Annie" died in 1964 and is buried in the Old Burial Ground, Chester beside her husband.
