DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
Walker-55532 and Walker-14211 do not represent the same person because: In looking closely at both Profiles there are erroneous entries that need to be cleaned up first before any merge is proposed. It looks like the mother did marry twice first to Robert Walker indicated by Find-a-grave for Robert Walker - Walker-14212. However, Benjamin Walker died in Parkwood, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, USA as noted in his Find-a-grave and not in Massachusetts. Also, the bios are incorrect and have erroneous entries on both sides.
How do you explain that they have identical parents, wives, and at least one child, John Walker?
When you find conflicting information for a person, please do not just create a new profile with that slightly different information. Instead, it's best to review the information in the existing profile first.
Look at the history of this profile. When the profile was created for Benjamin, he was attached to a father, Robert Walker, who died in Pennsylvania. In 2020 Benjamin's profile was changed by someone else to that of a man born in Taunton, Massachusetts, including Massachusetts sources and a Rachel Crane from Taunton attached as his wife. Several months later you changed his birth location to Pennsylvania, with no sources for Pennsylvania, leaving the Massachusetts sources and the Massachusetts wife. Then you removed Robert Walker (abt.1740-1778) as his father, but left Robert's wife as the mother of Benjamin.
After reviewing all of that information, it is very clear that the Rachel Crane, wife on this profile, belongs to a Benjamin Walker from Massachusetts, not this Pennsylvania Benjamin Walker. I will detach her as his wife, and remove the Massachusetts sources on this profile that do not belong to the Pennsylvania Benjamin Walker. Then I will propose the merge of these duplicate profiles.
