Biography

Ebenezer Walker Jr. (21 Dec 1760 Ashford Twp, Windham, Connecticut[1] – 8 Oct 1841) was the son of Ebenezer Walker Sr. and Hannah Smith.

He married Elizabeth Hanks of Ashford, CT dau of Deacon John. She died 15 Mar 1844 age. 78. He removed to West Becket and thence in 1840 to NY where they died.

Children Include:

  1. Elizabeth (1786/7 - ) married Joshua Wright
  2. Nancy ( - Set 1833) age about 52, married Clemence Hart, Residence Parma, NY. 10 ch.
  3. Lodice (1791 -) married Nathan Putnam, cooper removed from Becket to Greece NY whee he died. She removed to Monroe, MIch and had 8 ch.
  4. Ebenezer Hanks Walker (29 Dec 1793 - 1861) on 27 Jan 1817 in Lee, Berkshire, Massachusetts married Betsy Bradford/Bradley[2] (26 Feb 1793 - ) dau of Jesse
  5. John (18 Nov 1795 - ) married Betsey sprague. He was a farmer and had 4 ch.. Res. Bergen, NY
  6. Anna (1797 - 1881) married Joshua Kibbe of Otis. removed to Ohio
  7. Elijah (17 Oct 1800 - ) married (1) Ruth PUtnam (1791- 1835), (2) Lucy ___ (9 Dec 1797 - ) He was a farmer in Orwell, bradford, PA and had 3 ch.
  8. Lorania or Lura married Otis Harris of Becket. Res. Gates, NY
  9. Deidamia (1805 - 1 Feb 1857) married Allan Benton of Otis


Burial: Gates Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Gates Center,Monroe County,New York, USA, Inscription: Age 80y

Son Ebenezer and daughters Anna and Deidamia also buried in same cemetery
