Lewis Walker was born about 1818 , the son of John Tandy Walker and Mary Riddle.
Lewis Walker married Mary Ann Cheadle about 1837.
Lewis Walker and Mary Ann Cheadle had two (2) children; Martha Walker and Tandy C. Walker.
Lewis Walker is the brother of the famous Choctaw Chief Tandy Walker.
NOTEThe identification of the father of Lewis Walker as the great nephew of Catherine Walker [3034] is speculative. It is an attempt to relate the Bell family to Mary Alice Hearrell [17291]. Mary Alice Hearrell [17291] was the wife of William H. D. Murray [17351], a prominent figure in OK policies. Oral family lore, heard as a child, indicated such a link exists. I recall being taken to visit Murray at his home in Tishomingo OK as a child of about 10.
The sole reason for including the material about Mary Alice Hearrell [17291] is attempting to see if this can be verified. The identification here is the most plausible link I can see. It looks pretty tenuous.
But, there still remain some possabilities to be explored. I leave the material as a starting point for exploring those possibilities.
