Bio from FAG:
"The Pagosa Sun newspaper of Feb 22, 1895 showed that 'Miss Flora Walker has purchased the Reid Ranch.' This was the ranch right next to her brother John Everette Walker's ranch.
She married James McGuire that year and all their six children were born there: Gertrude "Gertie", Hattie, Leroy, Edwin, Charles, and Josephine.
Leroy & Erwin died very young of scarlet fever - and were buried on the property. When it was determined that the ranch would become part of the lakebed for the Navajo Reservoir, their remains were exhumed and relocated to a small public plot at the back of the Santa Rosa Catholic Church cemetery.
Flora L. Walker McGuire is buried next to her husband James E. McGuire, as well as their grown/married daughter Gertrude McGuire Kinghorn. They all died within only 18 months of each other - but for very different reasons: Gertrude died in childbirth, James had a heart attack on horseback while tending his cattle, and Flora died of influenza.
Her tombstone mistakenly says that she was born in November, but she was born exactly 2 years and 9 days before her brother, who was born December 18th."
