DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.

I am looking for evidence that William Walker, father of Sylvester, who both lived in Wheldrake, is the same William Walker as proposed here as the son of Alexander Walker of Fife, Scotland. Does anyone have or know of any documentation to evidence this please?
I have found out that they were both yeoman of Wheldrake and there are some relevant documents available at the archive centres In York and Hull. They're closed at the moment but I live nearby so I will go and see what I can find out there when COVID19 restrictions are lifted.
Many thanks - Hannah
