In the name of God Amen

I John Walker of Goochland County being in a declining state of health at present but in perfect senses and memory and calling to mind the mortality of man do think proper to make this my Last Will and Testament and what worldly goods it hath pleased almighty God to bless me with, do give and bequeath in the manner and form hereafter mentioned To wit

I give to my loving wife Nancy Walker all the household goods that I had by her and my hogs and then it is my will and desire that all my other estate of whatever kind be sold and all my just debts paid and the residuary if any to be equally divided between my loving wife Nancy Walker, James Walker, Nancy Owl, John Walker, David Walker, Mary Clark and Elizabeth Blackbond and lastly I do appoint my son David Walker and my son-in-law Richard Owl Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby making void all former Wills made by me.

In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of May 1794.

At a court held for Goochland County December 15th 1794 This writing was proved by the oath of Sherrard Parrish and William Adams to be the last Will and Testament of John Walker decd and ordered to be recorded. then on the motion of David Walker one of the Executors therein named who made oath according to Law and gave bond with Isaac W. Pleasants his security in penalty of one hundred pounds.

Probate thereof was granted him in due form with leave for the other Executor to (appear?) when he shall think fit.

Deed Book 16, p. 376. Inventory of John Walker brought into court 19 Jan 1795 appraisors Humphry Parrish, George Drumwright. David Walker signed with X. Almost one page of inventory 1 bay horse, 1 roan horse, 1 cow, other stock and misc. farm tools.

NOTES FOR JOHN WALKER: Goochland Co. VA Deed Book 11-167 Abstract: 31 Mar 1777 Phillip Walker of Goochland Co. VA to son John Walker for one ear of corn to him annually if lawfully demanded by Phillip Walker, 100 acres of land, part of said tract sd Philip now lives on beginning at the mouth of sd Philip Walkers spring branch...William Park Sheltons corner...his line...Philip Walkers line...Leonard Smiths corner ... Smith's line to Barnet Owen's corner...Owens line...down branch to beginning..
