Frances was the daughter of Jesse Walker of Newfane, Vermont. She became the third wife of De Louis Wellman, and was the mother of his children Martha Almira born in 1843, Mary Lamira born in 1844, Marshall Walker born in 1848 and died at age 16 as a Union Civil War soldier; and Charles Wesley born in 1853 and died young.
