Biography

Note, there is some descepancy as to whether Mary Polly Walker Cooper was the daughter or Littleberry Walker and Elizabeth Johns Walker or the daughter of Isham Walker and Civility Jones Walker.

Mary Walker was married in Wayne County, GA on 1/28/1817 to Willoughby Cooper, b. 1795 in Pitt Co., NC. They moved to Florida in 1840s. The marriage license application references her name as "Poly" Walker. Mary's husband Willoughby Cooper served as administrator of Isham's Walker's estate, who died in 1831.

Deed of Gift from Littleberry Walker to his children: Susannah, Mary, Kesiah, Drusilla, Littleberry (Jr), Isham, Elias, and Jeremiah, in consideration of his "marring", (but wife not named). He names his brother in law, John Johnston of Wayne County and Isaac Johns of Camden County, Trustees for the children.

In 1830 Littleberry conveys by deed of Gift to his children Ansell, David, Andrew, Elisha, Westberry and Elizabeth, slaves, cattle, horses hogs etc. to be equally divided and if his wife Elizabeth lives longer than he does she was to get 1/3 of the property during her widowhood and immediately after to be equally divided among the named children. He also states that he had heretofore given all my children excepting those named their portion of his estate.

Research Notes
