Ruth was born in 1921. She is the daughter of James and Hazel (Lavigne) Walker. She passed away in 2000.^[1]

Plattsburgh - Ruth Cora Beardsley, formerly of Cogan Ave., joined her family in eternal peace Friday evening, July 14, 2000, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.

Ruth was born Ruth Cora Walker in Plattsburgh on July 18, 1921, the daughter of James and Hazel (Lavigne) Walker.

She worked at Imperial Paper for ten years, then briefly at CIL Ammunition Factory and then as a building service aid at Plattsburgh State for ten years, retiring in 1976. Ruth was a communicant member of the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh. She was married June 18, 1943.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Francis R. Beardsley of Plattsburgh; a brother, Gary J. Walker, also of Plattsburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth has joined her parents and three brothers, Howard, Carl and Ross Walker, who predeceased her. [Oroville Mercury Register, published 16 Jul 2000]
