Biography

Anne was the daughter of John Walker and Elizabeth Unknown[1][2]
An abstract of his will read:

1665 Will of Col John Walker
Wife: Sarah exr
Daughter: Anne Payne and her husband John Payne
Daughter: Frances Walker
Daughter: Jane Walker
Daughter: Elizabeth Walker
Daugher: Sarah Walker
Daughter: Hester Walker
Wit: Richard Fox, Abraham Warner[3]

About 1668 Anne married John Payne Jr.. Their children were:

Ann Payne
Elizabeth Payne, born in 1670, married Henry Thacker

In 1670 John Payne Sr., Anne's father-in-law, "with his wife's consent", deeded land to her, widow of his son John: [4]. Thus in March 1670 Anne was the widow of John Payne Jr. and was expecting a child, Elizabeth.
In 1672, she remarried to John Daingerfield. Their children were:

William Daingerfield
Frances Daingerfield, married Edwin Thacker

Anne passed away in 1690. In the same year her son-in-law Henry Thacker had John Payne's deed registered in favor of his wife, Elizabeth[5].

Research Notes

Adopted profile 01-09-16 David Douglas. This profile is being researched and sources added. Dates, locations and documentation may be changed to reflect evidence supported by new sources if located.

The lack of public colonial records is not totally surprising as there was widespread loss of records during the American Revolution and Civil War in Virginia. However, the total lack of records also could indicate there may be some issues with the data contained in this profile. Addition research is needed.

The following publication, "Sons of the Revolution in State of Virginia Quarterly Magazine, Volumes 1-2" (online) contains references to William Dangerfield (note spelling), father of John Dangerfield who married Ann, widow of John Payne, daughter of John Walker [6]Link to reference
